Punishment for essential officer or servant leaving employment ---

1. Any essential officer or servant contravening any of the provisions of Section 64 or 65 shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to six months or with fine, which may extend to one thousand rupees or with both. 2. An offence punishable under sub-section (1) shall be cognizable and the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, with respect to the cognizable offences shall, as far as may be, apply thereto.
