1. Short title and commencement

- (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Mantri (Vetan Tatha Bhatta) Sanshodhan Adhiniyam, 2002 (No. 24 of 2002).
- (2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the official gazette.
2. Insertion of Section 5

After Section
- (1) of Section 5 of the Chhattisgarh Mantri (Vetan Tatha Bhatta) Adhiniyam, 1972 (No. 25 of 1972) (Which is hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act) before the proviso of above Section the following proviso shall be inserted, namely :- " Provided that some portion of the Official residence of every Minister, Minister of State, Deputy Minister and Parliamentary Secretary not being used as a residence on them and their family members may be declared as the residential office."
3. Omission of Section 5 (4)

- (2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the official gazette. 2. Amendment of Section 4 For sub-section
- (1) and
- (2) of Section 4 of the Chhatrisgarh Mantri (vetan tatha bhatta) Adhiniyam, 1972 (No. 25 of 1972) (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act) the following sub-sections shall be substituted namely :-
- (1) There shall be paid to the Chief Minister seven hundred and eighty three-rupees per day, to Minister seven hundred and sixty seven rupees per day, to Minister of State seven hundred and fifty rupees per day, to Deputy Minister seven hundred and forty two rupees per day and to parliamentary Secretary seven hundred and thirty three rupees per day as daily allowances during the term of their office.
- (2) There shall be paid to each Minister, Minister of state, Deputy Minister and Parliamentary Secretary constituency allowances of five thousand rupees per mensem.
