Statutory text

(1) The administrative jurisdiction for the laws specified in the schedule to this Act shall continue to vest in the respective departments as earlier. The concerned departments shall, within their administrative domain, make necessary amendments to the applicable rules and issue appropriate guidelines for the effective implementation of the provisions of this Act. Further, the relevant department shall appoint adjudicating officers, appellate authorities and recovery mechanism for the purposes specified in the schedule, in such manner and subject to such terms and conditions as may be prescribed. 2. Savings Savings.
(2) Nothing in this Act shall be construed to invalidate any legal proceedings instituted or concluded prior to its commencement, nor shall it be deemed to confer validity upon any illegal proceedings.
