The Governing Council

(1) The Governing Council shall consist of the following persons, namely:— (a) the Chancellor, Chairman; (b) the Vice-Chancellor, Member; (c) two members of the Trust, to be nominated by the Trust, Members; (d) one person from Academia or Industry, to be nominated by the Chancellor, Member; (e) two Heads of the Institutes of the Trust, to be nominated by the Trust, Members; (f) two Deans or Directors of the University, to be nominated by the University, Members; and (g) one nominee of the Government of the State of Punjab, Department of Technical Education or Medical Education or Higher Education, Member.

(2) The Registrar shall be the Member-Secretary of the Governing Council.

(3) The Governing Council shall be the supreme body of the University. It shall exercise such powers and perform such functions and duties, as may be prescribed.
