This amendment act restructures the Bihar State Minorities Commission by dissolving its current body in favor of an appointed Administrator to handle day-to-day tasks. The State Government retains the power to dissolve the commission anytime if it serves public interest and can issue binding directions to the Administrator. To address the interim period, the government must form an expert committee to analyze data from Bihar's caste survey and recommend policies for minority welfare. The Act ensures a new commission is reconstituted within two months after these measures to maintain continued oversight.
