Regulation control and discipline

Subject to the approval of the state government, The Director General of Police shall enact such rule, regulation or issue order for the following which shall not be contrary to this Act or any other Act in effect at any time:-\n\na) Prevention and investigation of offence.\n\nb) Regulation and inspection of work performed by the police organisation or Police officer.\n\nc) Distribution of arms, ammunition, accoutrements, uniforms and other items and decides the quantity.\n\nd) To assign duties to officers of all ranks and grade and decide the manner and condition subject to which they shall exercise their power and discharge their duties.\n\ne) To regulate the collection and transmission of intelligence and information.\n\nf) Determine the record, register and Performa to be maintained and details to be prepared by various police units and officers.\n\ng) To make police more skilful and prevent abuse of power and neglect of duty by them.
