Constitution of the Board and procedure

(1) The Board shall consist of one member who shall be - (a) a Judge of the High Court, if the appeal preferred involves a claim exceeding ten thousand rupees; (b) a District Judge, if such appeal involves a claim which does not exceed ten thousand rupees. (2) Such appeal shall be disposed of according to the prescribed procedure. (3) The decision of the Board and, where no appeal has been preferred to the Board, the decision of the Claims Officer shall be final.
