Archival Advisory Board

(1) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, constitute an Archival Advisory Board for the purposes of this Act. (2) The Board shall consist of the following members, namely:— (a) Secretary to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh in charge of Culture/Archives - Chairman, ex-officio; (b) Director of Archives - Member-Secretary, ex-officio; (c) one officer not below the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh representing the Department of Law and Judicial - Member, ex-officio; (d) one officer not below the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh representing the Department of Finance - Member, ex-officio; (e) three non-official members to be nominated by the State Government, of whom one shall be a historian, one an archivist and one a representative of a research institution. (3) The members nominated under clause (e) of sub-section (2) shall hold office for a period of three years from the date of their nomination. (4) The non-official members shall be entitled to such allowances as may be prescribed.
