Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembl-v- of Arunachal Pradesh in the Fortieth Year of the Republic ol India as follows :-.

l. (l) Tbis act may be called the Arunachal Pradesh Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act. 1989.

Short title.

extent and commencement.

1. (2) It extends to rhe whole of the State of Arunachal Pradesh.
2. (3) It shall come into force at once.

In sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (Central Act No. 49 of 1988) in its application to the State of Arunachal Pradesh, after the words "Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973" the words "or a Deputy Commissioner preferably with legal background and sufficient judicial experience" shall be inserted.
