  1. 0. Preamble
  2. 1. Shorttitle, extent, application and commencement —(1) This Act may be

  12. 11. State Government to direct by notification Elementary Education to be free and compulsory in the entire State
  13. 12. Enforcement of provisions of sections 13 to 143:- Subject to grammatical
  14. 13. Schemes for Free and Compulsory Elementary Education:-(1 )Any local
  15. 14. Attendance authorities and their powers and duties :
  16. 15. Responsibility of parent to cause his child to attend school
  17. 16. Reasonable excuse for non-attendance
  18. 17. Special schools for physically or mentally challenged children
  19. 18. Attendance orders:- (1) Wherever the attendance authority has reason to
  20. 19. Children not to be employed so as to prevent them from attending school:-
  21. 20. Elementary Education to be free and compulsory :- (1) No fee shall be
  22. 21. Age of child, how to be computed:- The age of a child for the purposes of
  23. 22. Examinations :- (1) The examination/continuous and comprehensive
  24. 23. Duties of certain persons entrusted with the examination work :- No
  25. 24. Prohibition of copying/unfair means at Examination, etc :- (1) No person
  26. 25. Prohibition of impersonating at Examinations:- No person shall appear
  27. 26. Prohibition of loitering near Examinations Centre, etc:- No person, save
  28. 27. Alteration of the answers written at an examination, etc :- No person
  29. 28. Duty of employees of educational institutions to do examination work:-
  30. 29. Educational institutions to be registered :- (1) Save as otherwise provided
  31. 30. Procedure for registration of educational institutions:- (1) Any local
  32. 31. Up-gradation of educational institutions ete :- (1) Up-gradation of the
  33. 32. Registration of a recognized educational institution:- (1) Notwithstanding
  34. 33. Cancellation of registration:- (1) Where it appears to the registering
  35. 34. Registration of Tutorial Institutions:- (1) (a) On or after the commencement
  36. 35. Recognition :- (1) Recognition may be accorded to any educational
  37. 36. Expertbody :- (1) The State Government shall subject to such rules. as
  38. 37. Recognition of existing institution, ete:- (1) Notwithstanding anything
  39. 38. Withdrawal of recognition: - (1) Where any local authority or the Governing
  40. 40. Management of recognized educational institutions :- (1) No recognized

  42. 42. President and Secretary:- (1) There shall be a President and Secretary for
  43. 44. Meetings, etc. :- (1) The Managing Committee shall hold such number of
