1. Short title and commencement
- (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Universities (Amendment) Act, 2006.
- (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 9th March, 2006. 2. Amendment of Schedule Act 4 of 1991 In the Andhra Pradesh Universities Act, 1991,-
- (i) in clause
- (a) of section 29, the following words shall be omitted, namely,- “or is suffering from leprosy”
- (ii) in section 34, the following words shall be omitted, namely,- “or is suffering from leprosy” 1. Short Title and commencement
- (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Universities (Amendment) Act, 2025.
- (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by Notification in the Andhra Pradesh State Gazette, appoint. 2. Amendment of section 29 and 34 In the Andhra Pradesh Universities Act, 1991,-
- (i) in clause
- (a) of section 29, the following words shall be omitted, namely,- “or is suffering from leprosy”
- (ii) in section 34, the following words shall be omitted, namely,- “or is suffering from leprosy” 3. Amendment of section 40 and 41 Amendment of section 40 and 41. Act No.17 of 1997. 3. In the Dravidian University Act, 1997,-
- (i) in clause (a), in sub-section
- (1) of section 40, the following words shall be omitted, namely,- “or suffering from leprosy”
- (ii) in sub-section
- (2) of section 41, following words shall be omitted, namely,- “or suffers from leprosy” 4. Amendment of section 39 and 40 Amendment of section 39 and 40. Act No.27 of 1985. 4.In the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University Act, 1985,-
- (i) in clause (a), in sub-section
- (1) of section 39, the following words shall be omitted, namely,- “or suffering from leprosy”
- (ii) in sub-section
- (2) of section 40, the following words shall be omitted, namely,- “or suffers from leprosy”
