This Act amends the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965 and the Hyderabad Municipal Corporations Act, 1955. It lets the Government adopt a gram panchayat's electoral roll when that area becomes part of a municipality, until a new roll is prepared. It also deals with the Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada Municipal Corporations, abolition of municipalities, pipeline service charges, and the election, term and disqualification of councillors and chairpersons.
