The Andhra Pradesh Karshaka Parishad and Allied Bodies (Repeal) Act, 1991

Short title and commencement.—

1. (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Karshaka Parishad and Allied Bodies (Repeal) Act, 1991.
2. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 26th July, 1991.

Repeal of Act 19 of 1987 and Act 24 of 1988.—

Consequence of repeal Consequence of repeal:

1. (1) On the commencement of this Act, the Andhra Pradesh Karshaka Parishad and Allied Bodies Act, 1988 (Act 18 of 1988) shall stand repealed.
2. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the said Act, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh (Agricultural Produce and Livestock) Markets Act, 1966 (Act 16 of 1966).

Transfer of assets and liabilities:

1. (1) On and from the commencement of this Act, all the assets and liabilities of the Karshaka Parishad and the Allied Bodies shall stand transferred to, and vest in, the Government.
2. (2) The Government may distribute the assets and liabilities referred to in sub-section
3. (1) among the various Market Committees constituted under the Andhra Pradesh (Agricultural Produce and Livestock) Markets Act, 1966 (Act 16 of 1966) in such manner as they may deem fit.
