Offences under this Act to be cognizable

Statutory text
- (1) Notwithstanding anything in 1[the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898], any offence punishable under this Act shall be a cognizable offence within the meaning of that Code.
- (2) No court inferior to that of a Chief City Magistrate in the cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad or of a Magistrate of the First Class elsewhere shall try any offence punishable under this Act. 1.
