No unit shall be recognized as an affiliated unit.

Objects of the University - The following are the objects of the University, namely:-

1. (1) to make provision for imparting education in different branches of study of Horticulture and other allied branches of learning and

1[and to streamline the Horticultural Education affiliate, recognize the College imparting Horticultural Sciences or any other courses as may be prescribed by the authorities];

1. (2) to further the advancement of learning and conduct research, particularly in horticulture and other allied sciences;
2. (3) to undertake the extension of such sciences/technologies specially for the rural people of the State;
3. (4) to have collaboration in research projects having multidisciplinary approach, and academic programmes with other universities or reputed institutes ;
4. (5) Such other purpose as the University may, from time to time, determine.
