Magistrate may detain unclaimed property and sell it

Magistrate may detain unclaimed property and sell it:

1. (1) The Magistrate may detain the property and issue a proclamation specifying the articles of which such property consists and requiring any person who may have a claim thereto to appear and establish his claim to the same within six months from the date of such proclamation. (2) Provided that if the property is subject to speedy and natural decay, or if the Magistrate thinks that its sale would be for the benefit of the owner, the Magistrate may at any time direct it to be sold.
