The Uttaranchal Non Government Education (Amendment and Repeal) Act, 2005

(1) This Act may be called the Uttaranchal Non Government Education (Amendment and Repeal) Act, 2005. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the date of its promulgation by the Governor.

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Principal Act" means the Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act, 1973 (as applicable to the State of Uttaranchal); (b) "State Government" means the Government of Uttaranchal.

In section 2 of the Principal Act, in sub-section (18), the words "or any other institution maintained by the State Government or a local authority" shall be omitted.

The Uttaranchal Non Government Education (Amendment and Repeal) Ordinance, 2005 is hereby repealed.
