Uttarakhand Consolidation of Holdings Act, 2016

This Act regulates the process of consolidating fragmented land holdings in the state of Uttarakhand. It applies to all land owners and tenants within the state. The main purpose is to merge small, scattered plots of land owned by different people into larger, contiguous pieces. This reform aims to simplify land administration, improve agricultural productivity, and make it easier to manage land records, ultimately benefiting farmers and the state revenue system.
