Jurisdiction of authorities

(1) The authorities shall perform their functions and exercise their powers under this Act or rules made under this Act in accordance with such directions as the State Government may issue and all or any of the authorities shall perform such functions and exercise such powers in accordance with the directions as may be issued by the State Government. (2) The State Government may, while issuing orders or directions referred to in sub-section (1), follow any of the following modes, namely: (a) Territorial area, (b) Classes of persons, (c) Classes of cases, and (d) Any other mode as may be specified by the State Government in this behalf.
