Statutory text
(1) The Chancellor shall be appointed by the Promoting Society from such persons who shall be a member of the Promoting Society : Provided that the Promoting Society may also appoint Chancellor from persons other than the members of the Promoting Society. (2) The Chancellor shall have such powers as may be conferred on him by this Act or the Statutes made thereunder.
