Statutes
The Doon University Act, 2005Subject to the provisions of this Act, provision may be made in the Statutes for all or any of the following matters; namely:- (a) the composition, powers and duties of the authorities and other bodies of the University, the qualifications and disqualifications for membership of such authorities, term of office, appointment and removal of members thereof and other matters relating thereto; (b) the appointment, powers and duties of the officers of the University; (c) the appointment, terms and conditions of service of the employees of the University and their powers and duties; (d) the administration of the University, the establishment and abolition of constituent colleges, granting affiliation to, and withdrawal of affiliation from, affiliated/constituent colleges, if any, the institution of fellowships, awards, etc., the conferring of degrees and other academic distinctions and the granting of certificates and diplomas; (e) the procedure for conduct of meetings of the authorities of the University; (f) any other matter which is necessary for the proper and effective management and conduct of the work of the University and for which provision is to be, or may be, made by this Act or the Statutes.
