The Bengal, Agra and Assam Civil Courts (The Uttaranchal Amendment) Act, 2006

(1) This Act may be called the Bengal, Agra and Assam Civil Courts (the Uttaranchal Amendment) Act, 2006. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 10th day of November, 2005.

In the Bengal, Agra and Assam Civil Courts Act, 1887 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in its application to the State of Uttaranchal, for the words "District Judge" or "Subordinate Judge", wherever they occur, the words "District Judge" or "Civil Judge (Senior Division)" shall be substituted.

In section 21 of the principal Act, in sub-section (1), in clause (a), for the words "five thousand rupees", the words "twenty five thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
