The Uttarakhand Panchayati Raj (Amendment) Act, 2024
1. Short title and commencement
(1) This Act may be called as Uttarakhand Panchayati Raj (Amendment) Act, 2024. (2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of Section 8
Clause (r) of sub-section (1) of section 8 of the Uttarakhand Panchayati Raj Act, 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) shall be substituted as follows, namely :- "(r) He has more than two living biological children: Provided that the above provision regarding disqualification shall not apply in case when two or more children are borm in the second pregnancy after the first child."
3. Amendment of Section 53
Clause (r) of sub-section (1) of section 53 of the principal Act shall be substituted as follows, namely :- "(r) He has more than two living biological children: Provided that the above provision regarding disqualification shall not apply in case when two or more children are born in the second pregnancy after the first child."
4. Amendment of Section 90
Clause (r) of sub-section (1) of section 90 of the principal Act shall be substituted as follows, namely:- "(r) He has more than two living biological children. Provided that the above provision regarding disqualification shall not apply in case when two or more children are born in the second pregnancy after the first child."
