The Chancellor

(1) Dr. Pranav Pandya, Trustee of Shri Vedmata Gayatri Trust, Shantikunj, Haridwar, [Uttarakhand], Director- Brahmavarchas Shodh Sansthan and Head, All world Gayatri Pariwar will be the first Chancellor of the Dev Sanskriti University, whose tenure shall be of five years, thereafter Vedmata Gayatri Trust, with the previous consent of the State Government, would appoint Chancellor from amongst its trustees. (2) The Chancellor shall have such powers as may be conferred on him by this Act or the statutes made there under. (3) Every proposal for the conferment of an honorary degree or distinction shall be subject of the confirmation of the Chancellor. (4) The Chancellor shall, if present, preside at the convocation of the University held for conferring degrees and may delegate to any officer of the University such of his powers as he may consider necessary.
