Definitions

In this Act unless a contrary intention appears from the context (a) “Commission” means the Uttarakhand Commission for Minorities constituted under section 3; (b) “Government” means Government of Uttarakhand. (c) “Member” means a Member of the Commission and includes the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Commission; (d) “Minority” for the purposes of this Act, means a community notified as such by the Government.
