This Act amends the Uttar Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1916 as it applies in Uttaranchal (Uttarakhand). It changes section 43-AA of that Act and replaces an ordinance issued earlier in 2002 for the same purpose.

  2. 13. Amendment of the first proviso of Section The first proviso of Section 9-A of the Principal Act, the Word "fourteen" shall be substituted for the word "Twenty seven".
