This Act helps prevent and control plant diseases and pests in Tripura. The Government can declare affected areas and notify diseases and pests, and appoint Inspecting Officers who can direct occupiers to take control measures, enter land and carry out the measures themselves, including in emergencies. Occupiers can appeal, and breaking the Act is punishable.
