Powers and functions of the Commissioner. -

1. (1) The Commissioner shall exercise all the powers, perform all the functions and discharge all the duties, which under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 or under any other law for the time being in force are to be exercised, performed or discharged by the Commissioner of Police, or the District Magistrate, under the Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348 Fasli.
2. (2) Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Commissioner shall be responsible for the control and administration of the Police Force in the Cyberabad Metropolitan Area.
3. (3) The Commissioner shall have the power to make regulations for the effective control, administration and supervision of the Police Force within the limits of the Cyberabad Metropolitan Area.
