Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (Amendment) Act, 2016

1. (1) This Act may be called Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (Amendment) Act, 2016;
2. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 29th September, 2014.

In section 3 of the principal Act, for sub-section (4), the following shall be substituted, namely:-

1. (4) the Headquarters of the University shall be at Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.

In Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University Act, 2005 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in section1,-

1. (a) in sub-section

1. (1) and throughout the Act, for the expression “Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University” wherever it occurs the expression “P.V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University” shall be substituted; and there shall also be made in any sentence in which the expression occurs such consequential amendments as the rules of grammar may require;
   • (b) after sub-section (4), the following sub-section shall be added, namely,- “(5)
2. (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University Act, 2005 all the colleges and institutions affiliated to Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University and located in Telangana State shall, on and from the appointed date i.e., 22-11-2014 be dis-affiliated from the said University and thereupon they shall be deemed to have been affiliated to the University.
3. (2) Notwithstanding such dis-affiliation of the colleges under clause
4. (1) from Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, the University may request Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University for the conduct of the examinations and the declarations of results so far as they relate upto 31-12-2015 and it may also request for necessary action in the interest of students to meet any contingency that might arise, as a result of the dis-affiliation under clause (1).”

In section 21 of the principal Act, in sub-section (1),

1. (a) for item (b), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
2. (b) “the Vice-Chancellors of Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, and Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University”;
3. (b) item
4. (n) shall be omitted.

In section 42 of the principal Act, in sub-section (6), for the words “Legislative Assembly”, occurring at two places, the word “Legislature” shall be substituted.

In the principal Act, section 46 shall be omitted.

In the principal Act, for the First and Second Schedules, the following shall be substituted, namely,-

"FIRST SCHEDULE LIST OF VETERINARY INSTITUTIONS IN TELANGANA STATE

I. Colleges: 1. College of Veterinary Science, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. 2. College of Veterinary Science, Korutla, Karimnagar District. 3. College of Dairy Technology, Kamareddy, Nizamabad District.

II. Research Stations 1. Livestock Research Station, Mahabubnagar. 2. Livestock Research Station, Mamnoor, Warangal District. 3. AICRP on Poultry Breeding, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. 4. Network Project on Buffaloes, LRS, Mamnoor, Warangal District.

III. Veterinary Hospitals 1. Campus Veterinary Hospital Rajendranagar, Hyderabad College of Vety. 2. Veterinary Hospital, Mylardevpally, Rangareddy District Sc., Rajendranagar. 3. Veterinary Hospital, Bhoiguda, Secunderabad. 4. Veterinary Hospital, Warangal. 5. Campus Veterinary Hospital, CVSc, Korutla.

IV. Animal Husbandry Polytechnics 1. A.H. Polytechnic, Mahabubnagar District. 2. A.H. Polytechnic, Siddipet, Medak District. 3. A.H. Polytechnic, Karimnagar District. 4. A.H. Polytechnic, Mamnoor, Warangal District.
