(1) Whenever it shall appear necessary to the 1[Collector] that any work should be executed in respect of any irrigation sources under the control of the Government for the protection of any railway, Government irrigation sources or other public building, he shall at once report the matter to the Government in the Finance Department and suitable orders in this behalf shall be issued by the Government. 2[(2) [XXX]]
