The Telangana Private Educational Institutions Grant-In-Aid (Regulation) Act, 1988
This law regulates state government financial assistance, known as grant-in-aid, provided to private educational institutions and colleges across Telangana. It restricts government funding to private schools established between April 1, 1977, and September 1, 1985, and private colleges established between April 1, 1977, and March 1, 1985, subject to explicit recommendations by a designated government committee. Institutions created after those cut-off dates are completely ineligible for funding. Furthermore, funding for extra sections or teaching positions created after April 1977 also requires committee approval. The government can recover incorrectly disbursed funds, ensuring public money is properly controlled and accounted for.
