Exemptions.

Nothing in this Act shall apply to the following lands, namely:-

1. (a) lands held by the State or the Central Government or any local authority;
2. (b) lands held by religious, charitable, medical or educational institutions, including a wakf;
3. (c) lands held by an undertaking owned, controlled or managed by:-
   • (i) a Government Company as defined 1in section 617 of the Companies Act, 1956;
   • (ii) a Corporation established by or under a Central, Provincial or State Act, which is controlled or managed by the State Government or the Central Government;
4. (d) such other lands or classes of lands as may be notified by the Government, from time to time, in this behalf.
