Term of office of the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and non-official members and their resignation

1. (1) The Chairman, Vice-Chairman and the non official members of the Board shall hold office for a period of three years from the date of his appointment, but may resign his office earlier by giving notice in writing to the Government, and shall cease to be a Member on the resignation being accepted by the Government.
2. (2) Notwithstanding anything in sub-section (1), the Government may, reduce the term of office of [Chairman, Vice-Chairman or any member] before the expiry of his term of office, without giving any notice to such member, and appoint any other person in his place.
