The Opium and Dangerous Drugs (Tamil Nadu Amendment) Act, 1947

1. (1) This Act may be called the Opium and Dangerous Drugs (Tamil Nadu Amendment) Act.
2. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Tamil Nadu.

In sections 29 and 30 of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1930, for the words "Excise Department", the words "Excise or Prohibition Department" shall be substituted.

In section 20 of the said Act, for the words "nearest police-station", the words, "or to the nearest officer of the empowered under section 20-A" shall be inserted.
