The Indian Stamp and The Registration (Tamil Nadu Amendment) Amendment Act, 2009

This legislation amends the Indian Stamp and the Registration (Tamil Nadu Amendment) Act, 2006 to give the government the power to set different effective dates for various sections of the law. By inserting a new clause into section one, the state government can now stagger the implementation of these provisions rather than enforcing the entire Act simultaneously. This amendment, known as the Indian Stamp and the Registration (Tamil Nadu Amendment) Amendment Act, 2009, takes effect immediately and provides administrative flexibility to the authorities responsible for enforcing stamp and registration duties.
