1. Short title and extent.

1. (1) This Act may be called the Cotton Transport (Tamil Nadu Amendment) Act, 1948. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Tamil Nadu.
2. Amendment of section 7, Central Act III of 1923.

2. In section 7, sub-section (2), of the Cotton Transport Act, 1923, for the words "five hundred rupees", the words "ten thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
