Short title, application and commencement

(1) This Act may be called The (Tamil Nadu) Private Forests (Assumption of Management) Act, 1961. (2) It applies to private forests situated in the Gudalur and Ootacamund Taluk of the Nilgiris district. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification, appoint.
