Penalties

(1) Every person or occupier of a factory who contravenes the provisions of section 11 shall be punishable with fine which may extend to Rs. 10,000 and in the case of a continuing contravention of the provisions of the said section with a further fine not exceeding Rs. 1,000 for each day during which the contravention continues. (2) Any person or occupier of a factory contravening any of the provisions of this Act or of any rule or order made thereunder for which no penalty in provided in sub-section (1) shall be punishable with fine which may extend to Rs. 5,000.
