Power of Board of Revenue, Director, Settlement Officer and Assistant Settlement Officer to rectify bonafide mistakes and clerical errors

The Board of Revenue, the Director, the Settlement Officer or the Assistant Settlement Officer may either on its or his own motion or on the application of any person—

1. (a) if it or he is satisfied that a bona fide mistake has been made in regard to any decision or proceeding under this Act, make or cause to be made the necessary correction therein ;
2. (b) at any time correct or cause to be corrected any clerical or arithmetical mistake in any such decision or proceeding.
   • • By virtue of section 10

1. (1) of the Tamil Nadu Board of Revenue Abolition Act, 1980(Tamil Nadu Act 36 of 1980), any reference to the Board of Revenue shall be deemed to be a reference to the State Government.
