1. Short title and commencement.

(1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Farmers’ Management of Irrigation Systems (Amendment) Act, 2009. (2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of section 5.
Statutory text
In section 5 of the Tamil Nadu Farmers’ Management of Irrigation Systems Act, 2000, in sub-section (5), for the expression “five years”, the expression “five years and six months” shall be substituted.
