The Sikkim State Legislators' Appointment to Different Authorities Act, 2006

(1) This Aci may be ca ed the Sikkim State Legistators,Appointment to Diflerent Authorities Act, 2006. (2) lt shall be deerned to have come into force on the 2.j s, day of lvay,2OO4.

ln this Act, , a) 'Aur"or ry'reans any slatutory body or organ zatio|., insliLi.on etc. Jnder Ine 5late Uove'nmert a.d a so ncluos public Seclo, Uldertaking. Corporal:ons, Committees, Commissions, CounctIs, Boards or any other FirOfi"Trtfr",it,j under the State Government; b) "State', means the State of Sjkkim.

(1) Subject to the provisions of any other law in force and in supplement thereto, the State Government rnay from iime lo time appoint a Mernber ol the state LegisLative Assembry by such designation as rnay be ind caled in the order ol the appointment to any authorily under the State covernment. (2) The incumbent to any authoriiy upon being appointed by such designation, as may be the caso, shall have the powers and privileges as may be conierred upon.

All appointment ol Legislators made to diflerent authorities shall always be deemed to have been made under,this Act.
