The Sikkim Ministers, Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly (Salaries and Allowances) Act

This Act establishes the framework for compensating key government officials and elected representatives in Sikkim by setting out appropriate salaries, sumptuary allowances, and benefits for the Chief Minister, Ministers, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and Members of the Legislative Assembly. The legislation also regulates their rights to residential accommodation, vehicles with drivers, free rail travel, medical treatment for themselves and their families, and transportation within the state. By clearly defining these entitlements, the Act ensures that elected officeholders are appropriately supported to effectively discharge their legislative duties and responsibilities in the state government structure.
