This law aims to protect public health by banning smoking in all public places and public service vehicles throughout Sikkim. It also restricts the advertising of tobacco products and strictly prohibits the sale of cigarettes, beedis, and other smoking substances to anyone under eighteen years of age. Furthermore, the Act bans the storage or distribution of tobacco products within one hundred meters of educational institutions. Violators face fines, and designated officers are empowered to enforce these rules and remove individuals who break them.
