Short title, extent and commencement

1. (1) This Act may be called the Sikkim Fire and Emergency Services Act, 2023.
2. (2) It shall extend to the whole of Sikkim.
3. (3) It shall come into force in any area on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official gazette, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different areas and for different provisions of this Act.
