Statutory text

(1) There shall be an Academic Council of the University, consisting of the following as members, namely:- (a) the Vice-Chancellor –Ex-officio Chairman; (b) the Pro-Vice-Chancellor; (c) Deans of Faculties; (d) one Professor from each faculty to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (e) the Secretary in charge of Social Justice and Empowerment Department or his nominee not below the rank of a Deputy Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan; (f) the Secretary in charge of Higher and Technical Education Department or his nominee not below the rank of a Deputy Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan; (g) Chairmen, Boards of Studies; (h) two persons having special attainment in the field of rehabilitation studies not being employees of the University, one to be nominated by the Chancellor and the other by the State Government; and (i) the Registrar of the University, Member-Secretary. Explanation.- For the purpose of clauses (e) and (f), Secretary in charge means the Secretary in charge of the Department and includes an Additional Chief Secretary and a Principal Secretary when he is in charge of a department.
