Filling of casual vacancies

Any vacancy in the membership of the authorities of the university due to death, resignation or removal of a member or due to change of capacity in which he was appointed or nominated shall be filled at the earliest possible by the person or body that had appointed or nominated such member: Provided that the person appointed or nominated as a member of an authority of the university in a casual vacancy shall be a member of such authority only for the remainder of the period for which the member whose place he replaces was appointed or nominated.
