Power to levy certain charges

The Authority shall levy at such rate and from such date as the State Government may direct by notification in the Official Gazette, and in such manner as may be prescribed by the State Government in his behalf, the following charges, namely: -

1. (a) a premium on second or subsequent sale of vacant land in Ajmer Region;
2. (b) an annual levy on vacant land in Ajmer Region; and
3. (c) conversion charges for conversion of the use of land from residential purpose to commercial or any other purpose. Explanation. - The expression "vacant land" used in this Chapter shall mean all land allotted or sold by the State Government, the Authority, or any local authority on lease hold basis or land owned or held otherwise and on which no building has been constructed or if any building has been constructed, the covered area is less than 1/5th of the total area of the land.
