Removal of encroachment and imposition of penalty

Offences and Penalties

1. (1) Any officer authorized by the Authority in this behalf may remove any encroachment from the premises of a notified bus terminal, after giving a reasonable opportunity of being heard to the person concerned, and in doing so he may use reasonable force.
2. (2) In addition to removal of such encroachment, the officer referred to in sub-section (1) may also impose on the encroacher a penalty not exceeding rupees twenty five thousand and may recover such penalty along with the cost of removal of such encroachment from the encroacher.
