Appointment, powers and duties of Secretary

Statutory text
- (1) The Secretary shall be appointed by the State Government upon such conditions and for such period as the State Government may deem fit.
- (2) The Secretary shall, subject to the control of the Board, be the chief executive officer of the Board.
- (3) All meetings of the Board shall be convened through the Secretary in the manner provided by the Regulations.
- (4) The Secretary shall be responsible for seeing that all moneys of the Board are expended for the purpose for which they are granted or allotted.
- (5) The Secretary shall be respnosible for keeping the minutes of all meetings of the Board.
- (6) The Secretary shall be entitled, to be present and to speak at any meeting of the Board but shall not be entitled to vote thereat.
- (7) The Secretary shall exercise such other powers as may be prescribed.
