1. 1. Short title and commencement.-

(1) This Act may be called the Rajasthan Municipalities (Amendment) Act, 2026. (2) It shall come into force at once.
2. 2. Amendment of section 2, Rajasthan Act No. 18 of 2009.-

In sub-clause (a) of clause (xix) of section 2 of the Rajasthan Municipalities Act, 2009 (Act No. 18 of 2009), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, the existing word and punctuation mark “leprosy,” shall be deleted.
3. 3. Amendment of section 24, Rajasthan Act No. 18 of 2009.-
Statutory text
In section 24 of the principal Act,- (i) the existing clause (xvii) shall be deleted; (ii) the existing clause (e) of proviso shall be deleted; and (iii) the existing Explanation shall be deleted.
